Under One Sky:
Throckmorton Fine Art is pleased to announce our upcoming exhibition, UNDER ONE SKY: Photographs by Margo Davis. In what is the culmination of over three decades of fine art photography, Ms. Davis joins the ranks of photographers who have traveled extensively all over the world to bring the people of many fascinating and diverse cultures together within one photography exhibition.
With her compassionate eye, this series of portraits bears witness to the journey of each person captured through the lens. Serving as a messenger, tracing each life story from each culture, then portrayed together, these particular people become one story. Faces that symbolize universal human life are woven together here in the one language we can all read: photography.
For Margo, finding these faces is a visual and personal quest. Each specific person is what matters. Gaining mutual trust is essential and for her, the result must be an intimate portrait. The person she chooses could be a friend or a stranger, but the respect for the person is at once evident.
"I am drawn by the spirit of the person, the sparkle in the eyes. What I see is a reflection of the soul." Margo Davis
